The goedendag (or variant spellings) was a Flemish weapon which is often described in modern sources as similar to the morning star. However, this is a misconception; it was an infantry weapon in the form of a thick wooden shaft between 1.2 to 1.8 m (3.9 to 5.9 ft) in length, slightly thicker toward the top, topped with a stout iron spike. Synopsis : Hidden Bible Truths in Plain View written by Windell Gillis, published by WestBow Press which was released on 22 January 2019. Download Hidden Bible Truths in Plain View Books now! Available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format.Jesus Christ and the apostles, along with Polycarp, Ignatius, and Hermes, carried the true Word of God deep into the first church age. Yet Satan attempted to infiltrate the true path of the Word with help from unbelievers who were more than willing to do his dirty work. Because of this, the structural religious imprints left by ancient pagan civilization began to take a toll on the religious denominational world in such a subtle manner that it has gone unnoticed. In Hidden Bible Truths in Plain View, author Windell Gillis explains how since the Bible is the only real and perfect truth, Christian history can only be real and true if it agrees completely with the Bible. This history does! Messengers to the seven church ages, who are revealed here, were able to turn the people back to God in each age, if only for a season. With Philo having perverted the definition of the Logos, which changed the way people worshipped with respect to the Godhead, and with so much confusion in the religious world—as proven by the forty thousand different denominational groups today—something must happen! And it did! The revelation of Malachi 4 and Revelation 10:7 concerning the mystery of God is unveiled in Hidden Bible Truths in Plain View—to the shock of Christians worldwide.

A revelation of Jesus Christ. Thus begins a candidate for the most misunderstood literary creation in human history. This book, with its vivid imagery, but written in a little used literary form, is intended for the support and comfort of the followers of Jesus in their spiritual journey, especially during times of persecution. Written in poetic code, its glorious messages of comfort are hidden from the world and its alarmist profiteers. It is the grand climax of the Bible, a summary of the teachings of the 1st Century church. Once understood, the rich imagery opens easily to the bondservants of Jesus.

About the author, who makes no claim of greatness, to fortune or fame! Except what I hold dear in the service of my God, the Father, and my Lord, the Son of God, Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. I hold no brotherhood with religion, except to Christ. So I call myself Christian. As I believe in the Spirit of the most High God and the Christ Child, Jesus. The One that says, “Truly I say, My Father and I are one.” Proclaim the “Good News” and praise the Holy Spirit that tells His word, just what and when to write. I spent my life as a Master Mariner, a Captain in the United States Merchant Marines. Along the way of life, I guess you could say Jesus called me to be a fisher of men. He gave me a wife, to help spread vision and insight into the Holy Bible, of then and now. What the Scripture points to, in the here and now. To make us aware of the Great Storm of the then and now! To point direction to the Son, Jesus is the way. The Father wants us all to come home. 2 Peter 1:20-21 2 Timothy 3:16 What more need I say. God Bless You

This book details short stories and poetry that I have written since the start of high school. A lot of the material came from the heart, to how I was feeling during the experience at the time. I have worked hard in the last twenty-two years on this and finally came to the conclusion that it is time to get this work published. A lot of sweat, tears, fears, and whatnot came into this work, and I hope you enjoy it as much I have. I hope that anyone going through hard times can relate and find my thoughts and my writing more than understanding. Please sit back and enjoy, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Bible figures of speech have been around since Adam. Who hasn’t heard of the most famous tree, “The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?” And in a moment of defiance and rebellion, Cain asked God, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” These two literary terms can be called figures of speech. They are examples of phrases that bring forth a particular meaning to he who hears them, and they become personal to each of us. What do these two figures of speech have in common? They were both written down or attributed to the same author, Moses. They both happened somewhere at a specific place, which was an event at a certain moment of time. They represent the divine nature of God and God’s relationship with man, or in literary terms, a character. While we don’t always know the exact location or date, as with the early biblical writings, we do have a unifying anchor which is the Bible figure of speech. Considering the first Bible figure of speech, we have yet another image: “In the beginning.” Here we see God acting alone in creation at the beginning of time. It too provides us with a simple truth both unforgettable and personal. It speaks to our mind and our heart and soul as personal knowledge, which is outside of ration and have heaven and earth to bear witness. This is a Bible figure of speech.

Robert Browning (1812 – 1889) was one of the defining figures of the Victorian age. Famous in his lifetime for his elopement and marriage to Elizabeth Barratt, his critical reputation grew steadily in the years following her early death. Browning’s mastery of dramatic verse was evident throughout his career, from such chillingly unforgettable monologues as ‘My Last Duchess’ and ‘Porphyria’ to the mature work included in his collection Dramatis Personae. This selection, chosen by leading scholars, reveals the innovation, complexity and profound psychological insight that have ensured Browning’s enduring reputation and his continuing appeal to readers today. Browning: Selected Poems results from a completely fresh appraisal of the canon, text and context of the writer’s work. The poems are presented in the order of their composition and in the text in which they were first published, giving a unique insight into the development of Browning’s art. An introduction and chronology offer useful background material, whilst annotations and headnotes provide details of composition, publication, sources and contemporary reception. This authoritative yet accessible selection should become the first point of reference for scholar, student and general reader alike.

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Red Rising thrilled readers and announced the presence of a talented new author. Golden Son changed the game and took the story of Darrow to the next level. Now comes the exhilarating next chapter in the Red Rising Saga: Morning Star. ITW THRILLER AWARD FINALIST • “[Brown’s] achievement is in creating an uncomfortably familiar world of flaw, fear, and promise.”—Entertainment Weekly Darrow would have lived in peace, but his enemies brought him war. The Gold overlords demanded his obedience, hanged his wife, and enslaved his people. But Darrow is determined to fight back. Risking everything to transform himself and breach Gold society, Darrow has battled to survive the cutthroat rivalries that breed Society’s mightiest warriors, climbed the ranks, and waited patiently to unleash the revolution that will tear the hierarchy apart from within. Finally, the time has come. But devotion to honor and hunger for vengeance run deep on both sides. Darrow and his comrades-in-arms face powerful enemies without scruple or mercy. Among them are some Darrow once considered friends. To win, Darrow will need to inspire those shackled in darkness to break their chains, unmake the world their cruel masters have built, and claim a destiny too long denied—and too glorious to surrender. Praise for Morning Star “There is no one writing today who does shameless, Michael Bay–style action set pieces the way Brown does. The battle scenes are kinetic, bloody, breathless, crazy. Everything is on fire all the time.”—NPR “Morning Star is this trilogy’s Return of the Jedi. . . . The impactful battles that make up most of Morning Star are damn near operatic. . . . It absolutely satisfies.”—Tordotcom “Excellent . . . Brown’s vivid, first-person prose puts the reader right at the forefront of impassioned speeches, broken families, and engaging battle scenes . . . as this interstellar civil war comes to a most satisfying conclusion.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review) “A page-turning epic filled with twists and turns . . . The conclusion to Brown’s saga is simply stellar.”—Booklist (starred review) Don’t miss any of Pierce Brown’s Red Rising Saga: RED RISING • GOLDEN SON • MORNING STAR • IRON GOLD • DARK AGE

Love Letters From GOD, The Father and Messages from The Holy Spirit of GOD within the pages of this book are all His Letters from His heart to yours, such as: 'Who are these? 'They are the children I love. They are the ones whom I redeemed. These are the ones I died for. These are the ones I am coming for.' The Lord is personally pouring out His Heart throughout this book for those He Loves. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16, NASB) Oh, and how He loves you! I pray that HIS book, this book reaches every global corner and nation about His Everlasting Love; His Divine Plan and Purpose; and your assignments and appointments from a world of apathy and apostasy to a global revival of repentance and eternal redemption. He is The Light of the World. Share it. Show it: His Eyes, our eyes; His Ears, our ears; His Voice, our voice; and His Heart, our heart. Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.' (Matthew 9: 35-38, NIV) Also written within is another Letter The Lord spoke, 'These Are Cue Words. 'The days shorten to hours, even minutes, even to the last second-a flash. One last breath, one last mile, one last kiss and one last look, one last smile. It all ends, and death consumes them. Or life? Is this you? The Workers Are Few.' He's calling you. Even as we see the day approaching, His Word and promise remain. Don't wait or hesitate. We must ask Him. Time is short.

Religion and the Creation of Race and Ethnicity is the first collection devoted to demonstrating the role that religion and myth have played in the creation of the categories of “race” and “ethnicity.” When scholars approach religion and race, they tend to focus on such issues as how African Americans have expressed Christianity, or how Japanese or Mexicans have lived “religiously.” This volume, meant specifically for those new to the field, brings together an ensemble of prominent scholars and illuminates instead the role religious myths have played in shaping those very social boundaries that we call “races” and “ethnicities.” It asks, what part did Christianity play in creating “Blackness”? To what extent was Japanese or Mexican identity itself the product of religious life? The text, comprised of all original material, introduces readers to the social construction of race and ethnicity and the ways in which these concepts are shaped by religious narratives. It offers examples from both the U.S. and around the world, exploring these themes in the context of places as diverse as Bosnia, India, Japan, Mexico, Zimbabwe, and the Middle East. The volume helps make the case that any account of the social construction of race and ethnicity will be incomplete if it fails to consider the influence of religious traditions and myths. Contributors include: Eddie S. Glaude, Jr., Joel Martin, Jacob Neusner, Roberto S. Goizueta, Laurie Patton, and Michael A. Sells.
